The Ukrainian sustainable brand STARCHAK was founded in Lviv in 2019 by designer Maria Starchak. Built on aesthetic provocation and a deep study of tailoring techniques, most pieces are created using upcycling and are one-size. The brand’s distinctive visual codes include architectural cuts, a blend of minimalism with bold details, fringe, and hand embroidery. STARCHAK values individuality, which the designer interprets as “a person who has fully realized themselves.” Ukrainian and international stars like Jamala, Yuliya Sanina, and Frank Peter Wilde wear STARCHAK, and the brand has been featured in top publications like Vogue, ELLE, and L’Officiel.
