Africa Collect Textiles

Worldwide, an estimated 60 billion kilograms of textiles and footwear is lost (burned or landfilled) every year. The fashion industry is one of the main contributors to climate change. Africa Collect Textiles (ACT) rolls out a new model for a) collecting and redistributing used clothing in African in order to provide low-income communities with decent but affordable outfits and b) building the foundation for a circular fashion industry, by preparing large quantities of sorted materials, suitable for repurposing, upcycling and recycling. It is time to close the fashion loop in Africa!
