LTD is a joint venture of Sunshine Group. The Company specializes in deep processing of agricultural products like sunflower oil, corn oil, avocado oil, groundnut oil, soybean oil and rapeseed oil. The current project includes only the processing of sunflower oil. Sunshine edible oil processing plant is located in ZUZU, DODOMA, covering 10 acres. The estimated total investment is USD 20 million, taking the advantage of surrounding rich sunflower farms The total number of employed worker in SINCO LTD stands at 230. About 70% of them work in the farms. Amongst the 70% in the farms, the male to female ratio is 40:30 percent respectively (including field managers and labourers). 20% of the remaining workers are in the product unit and 9% of them are women at the secretariat, packaging and marketing sector. The balance 10% is the administration and 3% are women. The total farming land surface area stands at 109 hectares. The average yield of sunflower seeds is 1560 kg/ha, and in terms of oil this amounts to 216L of vegetable oil produced per hectare. The plants have maturity duration of 80 to 100 days of which they are harvested. Approximately 23,544L of refined sunflower oil are produced every 100 days and 85,935.6L are produced yearly.
