Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation

Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation (CCPR) is a nationally accredited agency and 2014 recipient of the National Gold Medal Award. Established in 1991 through a unique partnership between the City of Carmel and Clay Township, CCPR plays an integral role in the quality of life of our community, helping Carmel be named America's #1 Best Place to Live by Money Magazine in August 2012. CCPR manages over 500 acres of park land and numerous recreation facilities, including the award-winning Monon Community Center and The Waterpark. By embracing an entrepreneurial approach to managing public services, CCPR consistently achieves at least 80% cost recovery in its total operations. With outstanding amenities, an innovative staff, and strong community support, CCPR offers an extensive array of popular services. Approximately participants are served annually through our community center, waterpark, and recreation programs. Over 4,500 youth participate in our before and after school program, offered in partnership with the local school district.
