NINES PV has developed and patented a disruptive sustainable manufacturing technology for solar cell manufacturing, dramatically reducing water consumption, cost and CO2 footprint : the ADE process (Atmospheric Dry Etching), a gas phase process that enables etching of silicon at an industrial scale, without the costs typically associated with incumbent technologies. ADE is the only industrial silicon etching process that does not use or generate green house gases (GHG). NINES PV is focused on bringing novel, innovative and sustainable process technology and equipment to the Photovoltaic (PV) solar cell and semiconductor manufacturing industry. The company is based in Dublin, Ireland.
