Nelson Airport

Nelson Airport is New Zealand’s busiest regional airport. About passengers pass through our terminal every year. We serve four airlines including our national carrier Air New Zealand, Originair, Sounds Air and Golden Bay Air. Right in the centre of New Zealand, at the top of the South Island, Nelson Airport is the doorstep to the beautiful and thriving Nelson Tasman region and gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park. And we are much more than an airport. We work closely with local agencies and businesses to support tourism and the growth of the regional economy. We’re home to Air New Zealand’s Regional Maintenance hub which provides world class engineering services to airlines from throughout Australasia and the Pacific. Nelson Airport’s focus is on constant improvement in everything we do - our customer experience, airline relationships, business partners and employees. A huge part of that is our investment in redeveloping the airport to meet future growth. Completed is a multi-stage capital works programme that includes a new terminal - a visually stunning, sustainable building featuring locally-sourced timber and designed to reflect the beauty of the region.
