AIQ is a Fair Trade association that aims to improve the living standards of peasant communities and contribute to the sustainable development of the region through the harvesting of the luxurious Vicuña wool. Vicuña wool is native to region, golden in color, and highly priced for its quality, beauty, and scarcity. It's the most luxurious fiber in the world and its fiber is among the finest with a micron count measuring only 12 to 13 microns. Our soft and luxurious scarfs, shawls, and sweaters are the result of a partnership with PIACENZA S.P.A, an Italian company with a tradition of almost 300 years in the industry of noble fibers. AIQ represents 30 families from the Cololo community, a community that lives in the Bolivian Andes.
