The School of Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering (SRSGE), NTUA, is divided into three departments- Department of Surveying Engineering - Department of Geography and Regional Planning - Department of Infrastructure Works and Rural Development And includes seven laboratories- Laboratory of Geodesy Educational and research needs relate to higher geodesy, physical geodesy and gravimetry, satellite geodesy, geodetic astronomy, topography, technical geodesy, geography, industrial geography, and industrial geography navigation- Laboratory of Physical Geography & Environmental Impacts (http://phgeolab.survey.ntua.gr) Knowledge base needed about environmental planning, natural resources management and protection, environmental impact assessment, water-energy-food-ecosystems nexus, groundwater management, water footprint, environmental policy analysis, climate change adaptation, stakeholder engagement- Dionysos Satellite Observatory (http://portal.survey.ntua.gr/main/labs/hgeod/DSO/DSOmain.htm) Space geodesy and its applications - Laboratory of Photogrammetry (http://digiphotolab.survey.ntua.gr) Photogrammetry and computer vision, cadastre and land administration - Laboratory of Transportation Engineering (http://lte.survey.ntua.gr) Road and railway infrastructure, airport design, traffic engineering, transport planning, railway design, intelligent transport systems, transport economics, road safety- Laboratory of Cartography Cartography and geographic information science - Laboratory of Remote Sensing Photo-interpretation and remote sensing, and their applications Since its foundation, the SRSGE has been an important source of technical knowledge for Greek and international scientific societies.
