Ifsra-Institute For Social Research In Africa
IFSRA is the result of an initial willingness of INSUCO researchers to bridge their studies and analyses on the one hand and academic research on the other hand, to help understand the issues they were facing. Its anchorage in Africa allows IFSRA to produce knowledge on specific themes (land management, access to natural resources, impact of extractive industries, etc.) on a diversity of local contexts (Guinea, Burkina Faso, Niger, among others). IFSRA is also open to insights from other continents, especially from Latin America. IFSRA promotes research in scientific partnership, through the conduct of joint activities with national and international research organisations, the scientific supervision of students and through the sharing of knowledge by courses, conferences, and co-authorship of articles. IFSRA's values are excellence through the promotion of a qualified training for young researchers, synergy through interdisciplinarity, interculturality and continuous knowledge sharing, integrity, i.e. transparency in relationships and respect for each individual for the unfailing application of our good conduct principles in research, innovation through experimentation and the monitoring of best practices and research results, and pragmatism through the promotion of applied research for social utility. It collaborates with international universities and research centers such as CRSR (Ivory Coast), Unicamp (Brazil), University of Sciences and Technology of Mbarara (Uganda), University of Hamburg (Germany), CNRST (Burkina Faso) ou l'ETH Zurich (Switzerland).
