Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (VUAS) was founded in 1997 as a self-governing state university of Applied Sc and scientific institution. Its basic activity is to carry out scientific research and to implement academic and professional study programmes. VUAS offers to acquire knowledge in our faculties of Economics and Management, Translation Studies and Information Technologies offering 17 Bachelor, Master and PhD study programmes. Currently, there are approximately 800 full-time students (including international students from countries like Spain, France, Germany, Lithuania, Turkey, etc.), 80% of which are funded from the state budget.
