The Liberia medical students Association (LMSA), is the umbrella organization of all medical students in Liberia. Founded in 1973 by students of the A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine, Liberia’s only Medical school, LMSA is an independent and non political student organization based on the campus of the A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine in Liberia. It represents, connects and engages with Liberians studying medicine at home and abroad. Mission To become the leading organization for medical students in Liberia, seeking opportunities for their growth and promoting their welfare for the expansion of medicine in Liberia. Vision To serve as a uniting force of all medical students; promoting the culture of medicine, friendship and cooperation for the purpose of improving health in Liberia. OBJECTIVES 1. To seek the interest of Liberians studying medicine and enhance their educational needs. To establish link with and form part of other health organizations in an effort to promote health and wellbeing. To present medical students’ grievances to the administration and where necessary, to higher authorities and to promote an academic atmosphere conducive for students. To seek and promote students exchange and other professional developments. To undertake research and publication of news of medical interest through journals.
