National Mobile Payment Plc

National Mobile Payment Plc (NMP) is a Hungarian state-owned joint stock company established in 2012 to provide easy, safe and cost effective mobile payment for central and local government services. In line with NPM’s mission, high priority is placed on gradually improving public access to mobile payment and the number of public services with mobile payment option in Hungary. NMP’s mobile payment platform for public parking, e-vignette and e-toll was launched in July 2014 with nationwide coverage in Hungary. NMP will be implementing e-tickets & mobile payment for public transportation with nationwide rollout. NPM’s platform provides interoperable and uniform access to public services, improves transparency of local government budgeting, while its modular structure also enables prompt introduction of additional mobile payment products. NPM is a partner of ERTICO – ITS Europe as a service provider since November 2014.
