Great Plains Conservation

Great Plains Conservation was founded by Dereck and Beverly Joubert, National Geographic Explorers-at-Large and award-winning filmmakers, to bring together two worlds: exceptional safari experiences and meaningful conservation impact. We operate an assortment of Réserve-Collection and Explorer-Collection safari camps and lodges across Botswana, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. Each one is rooted in the belief that a safari should not only inspire, but also leave a positive legacy for wildlife and local communities. Through the Great Plains Foundation, we protect vast tracts of wild land, support anti-poaching initiatives, empower women through ranger units, restore ecosystems through rewilding projects, and provide school meals to children in our partner communities. For you, this means that every journey with Great Plains Conservation is more than a holiday; it’s a direct investment in the future of Africa’s wildlife and landscapes. It's Conservation Tourism.
