Slovenian Hospice Society

Slovenian Hospice Society is a non-profit humanitarian organization that takes care for the people that are being diagnosed with a terminal disease in it's final stage. The society is based these six programmes: 1) Hospice home care, 2) Assistance for adults in grief, 3) Assistance for children and youth in grief, 4) Demolishing taboos related to transiency, and 5) Training and guiding volunteers for patient and bereavement assistance. We see the process of dying not as merely physical and material proces, but also a spiritual, psychological and social process that includes the family and loved ones.
