Building the Future Together When Sakib and Neelo Awan founded East Timor Trading, it was a model family business with a commitment to the well-being of staff, their immediate families, and future generations. Twenty-two years later, we retain the ethos of family, and those future generations are among our employees. Now, with more than 200 staff, our commitment to the Timorese people remains, but on a larger scale. Guided by an adherence to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, our philanthropic ventures in the form of building schools, providing educational scholarships, and supporting community events provide tangible benefits to the people of Timor-Leste, and a sense of pride that we continue to make a difference. On a business front, we continue to develop our range of international brands through our extensive national distribution capability and retail & hospitality network, and as growth continues, we are expanding into real estate development, growing our own corporate facilities while simultaneously providing new business opportunities for future investors.
