PGNiG Upstream North Africa B.V.(formerly known as POGC Libya B.V.) with its headquarters in Amsterdam and Branch Office in Libya is a special - purpose company fully owned by Polish Oil and Gas Company (PGNiG S.A.). The company explores perspective license area in Murzuq Sand Sea on Sahara Desert in Libya. PGNiG Upstream North Africa B.V. was founded on 4 February 2008 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Then the company registered the Libyan Branch in Benghazi. The operating office was opened in Janzour near Tripoli. The most important moment in company's life was undoubtedly the signature of EPSA - Exploration and Production Sharing Agreement with state-owned National Oil Corporation in May 2008. PGNiG Upstream North Africa B.V. closely cooperates with NOC in its daily activities. Currently we are conducting exploration works: 2D and 3D survey of the concession area. We believe that our work will contribute to the growth and development of PGNiG Capital Group and bring a competitive source of natural gas to households and industry.
