Established in 1953, URB has been at the forefront of the Romania's bearing industry for more than 60 years. URB initially operated as a national bearing manufacturer. Rapid development throughout the 60's and 70's established itself regionally as an integrated industrial organisation, positioning it as one of the leading bearing business in Eastern Europe. Today, besides the base factory in Romania, URB has production facilities in Hungary, Turkey and India, as well as commercial offices in Berlin, Istanbul and Shanghai, operating sales in over 40 countries and getting more than 95% of the total turnover from international sales. Our organisation has TUV SUD certification of an integrated system ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, and Lloyd’s Register certification ISO 14001 and SR OHSAS 18001, as a reflection of our constant emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction, as well as IRIS Rev. 2 certification on International Railway Industry.
