Luciana Ravizzi - Maestra De Danza
I was born and raised in Argentina and began my classical ballet studies at a very young age. I had the opportunity to study and train with some of the best and most recognised Ballet teachers in Buenos Aires including Olga Ferri, Enrique Lommi and Graciela Sultanik, who helped me in my training. In 1994 I entered the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colon, where I received my initial education in Classical dance. In the course of my studies at the ISA I had the opportunity to be chosen to perform alongside the Stable Ballet of the Teatro Colón on numerous occasions. In at the age of 16, I received a scholarship to study at the Royal Ballet School in London, studying at the Upper School for three years, completing my studies and graduating with the title of Classical Dancer. During my studies at the Royal Ballet School I was chosen to dance with the company of the Royal Ballet in several productions, including an international tour of Australia with the productions of the "Swan Lake" and "Giselle". In 2002 I was offered a position with Scottish Ballet where I went on to spend 13 years dancing at the highest level on stages around the world performing main roles in ballets such as "Romeo and Juliet","The Nutcracker","Sleeping Beauty","Cinderella"," The Rite of Spring","Five Tangos","Song of the Earth","Elite Syncopations","Carmen","Pennies from Heaven","The Crucible","Hansel & Gretel" and "A Streetcar Named desire" to name a few. After a successful career abroad as a professional dancer, I decided to return home to Argentina to teach and coach, with the aim of using my knowledge and experience to help raise the standard of classical dance in my home country.
