Headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, Scio is a leading CEE educational assessment centre offering comercial services to schools, universities, self-governing institutions, school boards and other institutions. The company is engaged in development of state-of-the-art products and services aimed at education and student assessment. Since 1996 Scio has administered and carried out hundreds of thousands of exams, and numerous surveys and projects. Scio began operations in 1996. It is a private organisation, independent of government influence or subsidies. Scio’s goal is to provide services that schools need but which are not often readily available. Scio strongly promotes and supports internet communication, which has been successfully used for collecting examination results as well as for analyzing the results online. Founder The Company is chaired by its founder Dr Ondřej Šteffl Quality Scio is one of perhaps only a few companies of its kind to have introduced the quality-management system (ISO 9001:2008) for testing, including development of tests and other evaluation tools, data processing, evaluation and analysis of test results.
