Istituto Oikos è un'organizzazione non-profit impegnata in Europa e nei paesi del Sud del mondo nella tutela della biodiversità, per una gestione responsabile delle risorse naturali, per la diffusione di modelli di vita più sostenibili come strumenti di sviluppo sociale ed economico e di lotta alla povertà. Dal 1996 ad oggi abbiamo ideato e realizzato più di 400 progetti in Italia e in 17 paesi distribuiti tra Europa, Asia, Africa e America Latina. Ci impegniamo ogni giorno per promuovere e gestire programmi di sviluppo, forme di cooperazione e partenariato tra organismi nel Nord e nel Sud del mondo, attività di creazione di microimprese in campo ambientale, iniziative di educazione alla sostenibilità. Tutti i nostri interventi hanno un obiettivo: portare il tema della tutela dell'ambiente al centro dell'attenzione dei cittadini, delle comunità rurali e delle istituzioni. Ci guida, infatti, una sola certezza: la cura del patrimonio naturale è alla base di ogni processo di sviluppo. Istituto Oikos is a nonprofit organization committed in Europe and in the South of the world to the protection of biodiversity, responsible management of natural resources, and the dissemination of more sustainable lifestyles as tools for social and economic development and the fight against poverty. Since 1996 to date we have designed and implemented more than 400 projects in Italy and in 17 countries spread across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. We strive every day to promote and manage development programs, forms of cooperation and partnership between bodies in the North and South of the world, activities for the creation of micro-enterprises in the environmental field, and sustainability education initiatives. All our works have a goal: bringing the issue of environmental protection to the center of attention of citizens, rural communities and institutions. Indeed, we are guided by one certainty: the care of the natural heritage is the basis of every development process.
