At Guelph Animal Hospital nothing makes us happier than helping our patients achieve wellness. By having a solid foundation in conventional veterinary care, as well as being educated in many alternative and complementary therapies, we are able to offer a wide variety of services that cover the diverse needs of our clients and patients. We believe good medicine should be based on good science whether conventional or alternative. Healing-oriented medicine or “holistic veterinary care” takes account of the whole patient, their environment and lifestyle and makes use of all appropriate therapies, both conventional and alternative. Our services include general wellness and appropriate vaccinations, dental care, in-house diagnostics, laser surgery, oncology services, integrative pain management, behavioural consultations, nutrition and weight management programs. Our facility features an on-site pharmacy, in-house laboratory, diagnostic ultrasound and digital radiography to aid in the prompt and efficient diagnosis and treatment of our patients. Our facility is open 7 days a week and is available for emergency needs. Our veterinarians are also trained to provide a wide array of alternative and integrative therapies including acupuncture, chiropractic care, herbal and nutritional therapy, and homotoxicology. While our most common patients are cats and dogs, we also occasionally provide general health care for rabbits, ferrets, rats, mice and hamsters.
