ISNS was founded in 2002 with the vision to educate and embrace the whole child. The goal is to instil in young people a love and joy of learning, an ability to think independently, and the confidence to take risks in pursuing their dreams and goals. We offer an English-based, Canadian and IB curriculum for ages 3 to 18. All teachers are qualified to teach at their respective levels, meeting Canadian certification standards or the equivalent. The New Brunswick, Canadian curriculum is internationally recognized, and our graduates are readily accepted to universities worldwide. Our curriculum is built for developing the whole child, integrating visual arts, music, drama, competitive sports, and a strong focus on the environmental sciences with core subject matters. As of July 2016, ISNS was granted authorization by the International Baccalaureate Organization for (IB) Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program, and Diploma Program and is an IB World School. As our teachers receive additional training through the IB organization we hope to further increase the quality of education that we provide as well as the international recognition that our student’s education receives. We also offer a strong support in English, offering English as Another Language. Chinese Second Language is compulsory, offering students the opportunity to learn Mandarin. We provide French as an elective to further enhance the language component of our curriculum.
