Over 4 is the project that qualified Romania at the 4th European edition of Solar Decathlon competition which will be held in 2019 in Szentendre, Hungary. Solar Decathlon Europe is the most complex competition of architectural and engineering design in the world aimed at universities. The 2019 edition focuses on urban regeneration and the rehabilitation of the existing building stocks. The main challenge for the participating teams of students is to design and build a prototype of a self-sufficient solar powered house, build in just 10 days with smart and eco-friendly materials. Each competing team will have their prototype judged and monitored the results following the competition’s 10 rules. Our Organization consists of young professionals, graduated students, PhDs and professors and our main goal is to design, develop and implement a project which aims to improve the way in which the housing blocks in Romania are currently being renovated. By proposing a holistic approach that focuses on reducing the energy consumption and the environmental impact in order to reach the highest standards of efficiency and sustainability. Throughout our participation in Solar Decathlon Competition and with the help of our project we will create sustainability professionals that will continue to improve the way we approach sustainable design in our country -with regards to the 2020 nZEB passive design strategies- while creating awareness on the way renovation projects have to be conducted.

O revistă de arhitectură și cultură urbană, acum și o revistă on-line, dar și o platformă de reflexie și intervenție asupra orașului, un atelier de proiectare, mai multe cărți, câteva zeci de expoziții, sute de conferințe și alte evenimente. De fapt, Zeppelin a apărut cu mult timp înainte de-a se numi așa. La sfârșitul anilor ’90, mai mulți arhitecți foarte tineri au început să lucreze împreună la publicații print sau online. Echipa actuală a fost fondată în de Cosmina Goagea, Constantin Goagea şi Ştefan Ghenciulescu. Criticii de arhitectură i s-au adăugat apoi proiectele de cercetare, organizarea de evenimente și intervențiile urbane (vezi secțiunea Programe culturale) și atelierul pentru arhitectură și design. Numele a apărut în 2008. Ne-am gândit la avangardele inter- și postbelice, când dirijabilul începea să fie asociat cu imaginea oraşelor care creşteau pe înălţime, simbolizând saltul de la utopie la tehnologiile cele mai îndrăzneţe cu putinţă; în egală măsură, zeppelin-ul prilejuieşte un zbor lin peste oraş, permiţând o privire de ansamblu, observarea şi compararea evoluţiilor arhitecturale și sociale. Şi o critică liberă și pe îndelete. În 2011, după 11 ani de editare ai revistei Arhitectura, am ales să continuăm proiectul editorial și, de fapt, să ne așezăm cea mai mare parte a activității sub numele de Zeppelin. e-zeppelin funcționează în mod integrat cu publicația în format tipărit. Revista Zeppelin a devenit tot în 2016 un bookazine – un produs periodic ce apare de patru ori pe an și care are dimensiunile și calitatea unui album de arhitectură; o publicație cu imagini de mari dimensiuni, texte critice,reportaje, desene și informații tehnice, pe care o răsfoiești cu o plăcere pe care nici un articol virtual nu ți-o poate da, și pe care o păstrezi cu grijă în bibliotecă.

In order to do so, we are developing new types of architectural projects, based on the Passive House principles, a new type of performance-based energy construction. By implementing the five main principles in our day-to-day designing, our team is aiming to- integrate the occupants' behavior in the design process, from the concept phase until building is put in use- emphasize the benefits of a Passive House beyond energy cost efficiency, regarding comfort of living in matters of temperature and light- integrate them in all building typologies, not only residential, but also commercial, educational, business sector and other architectural programs.

Founded in 2003, the ARB DESIGN group of companies, owned by architect Razvan Bembea, has formed a dedicated team of professionals in the field of architecture and construction, which aims to contribute to the progress of society through a wide range of works. Our activity is mainly focused on industrial and civil constructions. We believe that architecture has the potential to contribute to the progress of society through the form and functionality of the buildings we design. Therefore, we support social and cultural projects, seeking collaborations with entities of integrity and responsibility that share the same vision and values. Our work focuses mainly on industrial and civil construction and we are proud to have completed over 800 projects on various architectural programs. We have designed industrial production and logistics buildings, individual housing, office buildings, medical research centers with high level of biosafety (BLS 4), medical clinics and hospitals, retail stores, shopping malls, residential complexes and high security defense buildings. In our 20 years of activity we have diversified our range of services, adding project management and technical assistance during the execution to provide a unified response to our clients’ requirements. Within our team we have specialists in architecture, engineering, surveying and geotechnics.
