The Adjutant General Corps is looking for civilians who want to capitalize on their education and professional expertise and serve as an United States Army Officer. Mississippi State Guard
The Mississippi State Guard (MSSG) is the constitutionally authorized State Defense Force of the state of Mississippi. Operating under the authority of the Mississippi Military Department it is on an equal constitutional basis with the Mississippi Army National Guard,(MSARNG) and the Mississippi Air National Guard (MSANG). The Commanding General of the State Guard is appointed by the Adjutant General of the State of Mississippi, and answers directly to him. Further all Commissioned Officer appointments and or promotions must be approved by the Adjutant General. The State Guard is an all-volunteer organization tasked with supplementing the forces of the Mississippi Army National Guard and/or Air National Guard upon the order of the Governor of the State of Mississippi through the Adjutant General of the State of Mississippi. While its primary mission is to assist in coping with any man-made or natural disaster, the MSSG trains to be ready to meet any assignment. As a State Guard Unit, it is not subject to any federal authority with regard to assignment and/or control. The Mississippi State Guard is most closely aligned with the traditional concept of 'state militia': members are volunteers, self-equipped (armed only under special circumstances, as defined in law), can only operate within the borders of the state, and are unpaid unless activated to assist or backfill the MSNG.

The Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program, or Naval Reactors, is a joint Department of Navy and Department of Energy organization responsible for all matters pertaining to U.S. Navy nuclear propulsion. Naval Reactors' conservative design practices and stringent operating procedures have resulted in the demonstrated safety record of naval nuclear propulsion plants. The mission of the Naval Reactors, is to provide militarily effective nuclear propulsion plants and ensure their safe, reliable, and long-lived operation. This mission requires the combination of fully trained U.S. Navy men and women with ships that excel in endurance, stealth, speed, and independence from logistics supply chains. Naval Reactors organic statute, 50 U.S.C. §§ 2406, 2511, codifying Presidential Executive Order 12344 set forth the total responsibility of Naval Reactors for all aspects of the Navy's nuclear propulsion, including research, design, construction, testing, operation, maintenance, and ultimate disposition of naval nuclear propulsion plants. The Program's responsibility includes all related facilities, radiological controls, environmental safety, and health matters, as well as selection, training, and assignment of personnel. All of this work is accomplished by a lean network of dedicated research laboratories, nuclear-capable shipyards, equipment contractors and suppliers, and training facilities that are centrally controlled by a small headquarters staff. In alignment with Department of Defense Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders, certain posts have been removed to maintain consistency with federal guidance and uphold the integrity of our official communication channels.

South Carolina Military Department Office Of The Adjutant General
The South Carolina Military Department / Office of the Adjutant General (SCMD) is comprised of more than 11,800 part and full-time service members and civilian employees including approximately 9,100 Soldiers, 1,300 Airmen, 930 State Guard and Joint Service Detachment members, and 500 state employees. It is headquartered at 1 National Guard Rd, Columbia, SC and has more than 60 operational facilities throughout the state in 41 of 46 counties. The SCMD is a community-based organization with a dual role. The SC National Guard (SCNG) supports the federal mission to serve in support of national defense in partnership with active duty and Reserve units both overseas and in the continental United States; while the SCMD supports the state mission to serve the governor and citizens of South Carolina in response to natural disasters, civil unrest, and contingency operations as directed by the governor with defense support of civil authorities (DSCA).
