Atria was established in 1968 thanks to an idea of the Atria brothers, competent and meticulous building contractors. The need to create a new company originated with the after-effects of a violent earthquake that shook the Belice Valley. The need to rebuild from the rubble of a social fabric, devastated by the earthquake, was the imperative incentive to pursue a new productive activity. Great optimism and unshakable determination contributed to the real social and economic reconstruction of the area and Atria played its part by offering resources, skills and its background of considerable experience as builders. Production, for the first few years, took place in a large workshop. The first industrial plant was then built in 1978 with a modern structure, cutting edge technology and innovative machinery to give a new imprint to Atria brand production. In 2007, Atriathermika was born, the first insulating paint produced in Italy and the first of a series of products that changed the face of paint and coating production both nationally and internationally. All products came to be guaranteed and tested to the standard of Atria Wellness-Care Technology, the ultimate in safety, health and energy savings.
