Circular solutions and refrigerant management - Eco Scandic Oy Eco Scandic Oy concentrates mainly on reclaiming refrigerants, also known as F-gases, used in refrigeration equipment. During the period of use refrigerant becomes contaminated with different impurities, such as compressor oil, particulate matter, non-condensable gas and moisture. The impurities increase the energy consumption of the refrigeration system and reduce the life cycle of the refrigeration equipment. Typically, used refrigerants were replaced with new refrigerants, and used ones were disposed of by burning, which resulted in them releasing of harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. With our equipment and state of the art technology we are able to change that practice and make the process of refrigerant recovery and reclamation congruent with the newest directives. We offer a considerably cheaper and more environmentally friendly solution by reclaiming refrigerants, so that after the purification process refrigerant gases meet the specifications for newly manufactured ones.

Suomen ainoa ISO-sertifioitu (ISO 14064-2:2019) päästöjen kompensaatiopalvelu, joka perustuu lisähiilinielujen kasvattamiseen ja säilyttämiseen suomalaisissa talousmetsissä. Lisähiilinieluja luodaan tuhkalannoittamalla metsiä. Metsänomistaja säilyttää korvausta vastaan kompensaatiometsän 15/20 vuotta. Siinä ajassa lisähiilinielut sitovat halutun päästökompensaation verran ilman hiilidioksidia.

Ilmansuojeluyhdistys Ry
Ilmansuojeluyhdistys ry (ISY) on ilmansuojelun asiantuntijoiden valtakunnallinen järjestö. Ilmansuojeluyhdistys edistää ilman- ja ilmastonsuojelua toimimalla alan asinatuntijoiden, yhteisöjen, yritysten ja ilmansuojelusta kiinnostuneiden henkilöiden yhteisenä foorumina. Ilmansuojeluyhdistyksen toiminnassa keskeistä on tiedon välittäminen, sekä jäsenistön ammattitaidon ja osaamisen kehittäminen. Yhdistys järjestää seminaareja, tapahtumia ja kursseja. Ilmansuojeluyhdistys myös palkitsee stipendeillä ansioituneita ilmansuojeluaiheisia opinnäytetöitä. Jäsenilleen ISY järjestää kongressimatkoja ja tutustumiskäyntejä kotimaisiin ja ulkomaisiin kohteisiin. Se antaa lausuntoja ja tekee esityksiä sekä osallistuu kansainväliseen tiedonvaihtoon. Yhdistys julkaisee 4 kertaa vuodessa ilmestyvää Ilmansuojelulehteä, jossa käsitellään ajankohtaisia ilman- ja ilmastonsuojeluun liittyviä aiheita. ISY on myös mukana julkaisemassa Boreal Environmental Research-lehteä, jonka voi tilata yhdistyksen kautta. Vuonna 2006 ISY julkaisi ilmansuojelun historiaa käsittelevän laajan teoksen Savuntarkastajista päästökauppiaisiin. Lisäksi yhdistys oli mukana julkaisemassa Päästömittausten käsikirjaa. Ilmansuojeluyhdistys on osa kansallista ja kansainvälistä ilmansuojeluyhteisöä ISY on Tieteellisten seurain valtuuskunnan (TSV), kansainvälisen ilmansuojeluyhdistysten unionin (IUAPPA) sekä Eurooppalaisten ilmansuojelu- ja ympäristöjärjestöjen keskusjärjestön (EFCA) jäsen.

The INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) is a large, volunteer organization focusing on environmental auditing. The INTOSAI WGEA was formed in 1992, at the time of the Rio Earth Summit on sustainable development. WGEA began as a small group of 12 countries, but it has grown to be the largest INTOSAI working group with 86 SAIs, which exchange information and experiences with their peers. Moreover, six of the seven INTOSAI regions – AFROSAI, ARABOSAI, ASOSAI, EUROSAI, OLACEFS and PASAI, have established regional working groups or committees on environmental auditing (RWGEA) to support practice sharing and to undertake collaborative audits within regions, Our key goals include increasing the expertise in environmental auditing globally, and enhancing environmental governance with high-quality contribution and visibility. In the past, we have published several products, including Guidance, Training and Research Papers, which have dealt with topics related to environment – such as water, waste, sustainable development, biodiversity, climate and energy. All the publications can be viewed and downloaded on our website. INTOSAI WGEA aims to improve the use of audit mandate and audit instruments in the field of environmental protection policies, by both members of the Working Group and non-member Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs). Joint auditing by SAIs of cross border environmental issues and policies, and the audit of international environmental accords, has the Working Group's special attention.
