Gebze Institute Of Technology

Gebze Institute of Technology (GYTE) is one of two such institutes of technology founded in Turkey in 1992. It is a university for graduate studies located in a specifically selected area in the Marmara Region. The institute aims to become an institution of learning whose priority is educating innovative and broad-minded researchers, thus establishing itself among the international science and technology producers and helping the Turkish industry gain a strong position in the competitive global arena. Deu Mechanical Engineering

Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEU - MECH) started teaching as a part of the Faculty of Engineering at Ege University in 1968. In 1982 our department became a part of the newly founded Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Dokuz Eylül University. After separating the Architecture, and Urban & Regional Planning departments, the name of the faculty changed to the Faculty of Engineering. From the begining of education in 1975 until 1992, only the formal education program has been implemented. In 1992, a secondary education program was started. Currently, 30% English-assisted Turkish program is undergoing both formal and secondary education. In addition to the Undergraduate programs, our department has five graduate programs, i.e, Energy, Design & Production, Mechanics, Machine Theory & Dynamics, and Thermodynamics, at the Graduate school of Natural and Applied Sciences.

Dicle University is a public university located in Diyarbakır, Turkey, on the eastern side of the Tigris (Turkish: Dicle) river. The university is one of the oldest and largest higher education institutions in southeastern Anatolia, Turkey. Built on a twenty-seven-thousand-acre area in the eastern side of the historical city of Diyarbakır, Dicle University takes its name from the river which splits the university from the city. Apart from its main campus in Diyarbakır, the university has vocational schools in Ergani, Çermik, Çüngüş, Bismil, and Silvan. The Faculty of Dentistry was founded in 1976 and the Faculty of Agriculture in 1981. The name Diyarbakir University was changed to Dicle University in 1982. Okulumuz 1984 - 1985 öğretim yılında 60. Yıl İlköğretim Okulu binasında geçici olarak öğretime başlamıştır. 1986 yılında İlköğretim Okulunun, Ali Bayırlar İlköğretim Okulu’na taşınması ile bina 60. Yıl Anadolu Lisesi’ne bırakılmıştır. 1984 – 1985 öğretim yılında 108 öğrenci hazırlık sınıfına sınavla, 47 öğrenci de 6. sınıfa diğer Anadolu Liselerinden naklen alınmış ve toplam 155 öğrenci ile eğitim- öğretime başlamıştır. İlk mezunlarını 1989 – 1990 Öğretim yılında vermiştir. 1988 yılında 10 dairelik bir lojman, 1993 yılında yemekhane, laboratuar ve çalışma odalarının bulunduğu iki katlı bir bina, 1994 yılında çok amaçlı bir spor yılında da bünyesinde beş derslik ve kantin bulunan bir ek bina okul bünyesine katılmıştır. 2016 – 2017 Eğitim Öğretim yılında ise; 27 şubede toplam 814 öğrenci ile eğitim öğretime devam edilmektedir.

Founded in 1994 and dedicated to excellence in teaching and research, IZTECH’s Faculty of Architecture offers a wide array of programs through four departments. The departments are: Architecture, Architectural Restoration, Industrial Design, City and Regional Planning. Programs comprise undergraduate, master and doctoral courses of study and include architecture, city and regional planning, urban design, architectural restoration, industrial design. The Faculty of Architecture is a school of design offering a rich diversity of concentrations ranging from digital design, GIS research, and sustainable architecture to analysis of historic building materials, structural and earthquake safety research, acoustics, history and theory of planning and design, and others. There are close collaborative ties among the four departments, enabling students at all levels to pursue courses across the curricula and obtain advising across departmental divisions. Conscious of the enormous impact they will have on the shaping of future environments, we support creativity for the real world. We stimulate creative exploration in studio, laboratory, and field work as well as archival and historical research in the fields of design. Faculty and students engage in team work, participating in national and international competitions. Part of an Institute of Technology, IZTECH’s Faculty of Architecture is embedded in a framework of cutting-edge technological research. It is equally devoted to the preservation and continuity of traditional forms of design, craft, and creativity. We encourage and support student travel and participation in study-abroad programs. We encourage students to acquire new languages that will support travel and research. We provide assistance to graduate students for undertaking thesis research in an international context.

Turkish National Police Academy

When the Turkish National Police Academy was established in 1937 as the Police Institute, its aim was to provide one-year on-the-job training for police officers. After 1940, it became a two-year undergraduate school, and after 1962 it became a three-year general college. In 1984, the name of the undergraduate school was changed to the Police Academy. In 1991, the Police Academy was restructured into Faculties and Higher Schools (FYO) and the FYO officially started accepting students. Following the restructuring in 2001, the 4-year undergraduate education function of the Police Academy was transferred to the Faculty of Security Sciences. The Academy gained university status with the Institute of Security Sciences, the Faculty of Security Sciences, 24 Police Vocational Schools in various provinces, and the Faculty and Colleges department. The Institute of Security Sciences started doctoral education in 2006. The Faculty of Security Sciences within the Police Academy used to train the executive class personnel of the Turkish Police Organization. A student graduating from this faculty would start working at the General Directorate of Security with the rank of Deputy Inspector (D/Insp.). These personnel could be promoted to the ranks of Inspector (Inspector)/Lieutenant, Chief Inspector (Chief Inspector)/Lieutenant (Captain), Superintendent (Superintendent)/Major, Superintendent (Superintendent) 4th Grade, Superintendent (Superintendent) 3rd Grade, Superintendent (Superintendent) 2nd Grade and Superintendent (Superintendent) 1st Grade. In 2015, the Police Academy was restructured. With these changes, the Faculty of Security Sciences was closed and transformed into a one-year Police Chief Training Center(PAEM).
