Our aim is to explore local food culture and provide a home for research, dialogue, and a wide range of culinary experiences. The center is open six days a week and everyone is welcome. Stop by for a meal anytime at Cafe Asif, or visit their local deli to pick up artisanal cheeses, olive oils, spices, and wine to enjoy at home. At Asif, we believe that food is a central ingredient of culture and identity, both as individuals and communities. Beyond cooking, food enables us to learn about our histories, confront our conflicts, and engage in an open dialogue and difficult conversations. Food does not stand alone. Exploring how it relates to history, culture, politics, ecology, fashion, technology, and gender is what guides Asif as a culinary center that encourages innovation.

Roim Rachok Program
Roim Rachok (Looking Ahead) is an innovative program designed to train adults on the autism spectrum in professions required by the Israel Defense Forces and the civilian market. Qualified young adults, who want to volunteer for service in the IDF or integrate into the job market, are taught professions for which they have a comparative advantage. The first three months of the program is held in a civilian framework in Ono Academic College where participants learn a profession and essential work skills. During the next 3-4 months, they are provisionally assigned to an IDF unit where they work as civilians, to gain experience before being drafted as volunteers. After the trial period, participants can join the IDF as volunteers (subject to IDF approval). During their service, they contribute their special skills to the IDF while accruing professional experience. After discharge, they can continue working in the same field, or develop in other, related or unrelated, scientific and academic directions. The program began in 2013 and it is operated in cooperation of Beyond the Horizon (Charitable Company) and Ono Academic College. The first training course was for deciphering aerial and satellite photography. It is based on the idea that people on the autistic spectrum are very visually-oriented, and many of them are patient and have the ability to focus on details that this work requires. The program has since been expanded to train participants in other professions needed in the IDF and civilian job market such as software quality assurance (QA), information sorting, and electro-optics technicians. Roim Rachok highlights the personal and collective significance of belonging for people on the autism spectrum.

We believe that ability can be found in each and every one of us. We therefore act as motivators, Empowering and exposing the children to the world of education and academia, and strengthen their motivation to study and succeed. Ofanim has an original and effective means of reaching the children in remote areas: buses that have been retrofitted into mobile labs equipped with computers and technology needed. Our beneficiaries are elementary school pupils from all sectors of Israeli society—Jewish and Arab, religious and secular, native-born and new immigrants. Our goals include nurturing the children’s critical-thinking skills and igniting their imaginations, developing their social and leadership skills, and motivating them to succeed in school and to pursue higher education in STEM fields. In addition, Ofanim works to build the children’s self-confidence by exposing them to valuable role models. Ofanim aims to give every child in the periphery the opportunity to reach his/her potential. Assessments and evaluations of the programs’ success, conducted by leading academics, revealed that more than 90% of the participants reported a very high level of satisfaction, as well as an improved sense of capability. We carried out a survey of Ofanim's graduates who were in 11th or 12th grade. The results show that 23.5% of the Ofanim's graduates are preparing to take their final high school math matriculation exam at the highest level, whereas the national average is 8.2% in the North and only 6.9% in the South. At the same time, 58% of the graduates express an interest in pursuing academic professions in STEM fields. Friends Of Nahal Haredi
We help Haredi youth who need something different Many Haredi youth, who are neither learning in Yeshivot nor serving in the army, have few prospects for a productive life; a life that contributes to the preservation of the state of Israel while building a better economic and social order; for the country and for themselves as individuals. Based on the important principles of unity, growth and success, the “Friends of Nahal Haredi” is an exceptional non-profit organization that has joined forces with the IDF in an effort to reach out to the young men of the Haredi community who want to join the military, and who want to learn and grow. Their needs are unique, as they have little understanding of the challenges that await them during their military service and their integration into the workforce. “We provide guidance, from recruitment, throughout their military service and beyond.” No Haredi youth movement or support system exists to promote these goals. The number of Haredi recruits with a genuine desire to serve their country grows with every passing year. Proportionally, so grows the need for a highly qualified staff of professional educators and mentors to build an intensive mentoring, guidance and educational system. First and foremost, “Friends of Nahal Haredi” adds a spiritual dimension to the IDF by sponsoring religious soldiers within a framework that is strictly observant.

ReStarTzfat is a Community Center located in the holy city of Tzfat, Israel, that is dedicated to increasing food security, providing guidance to senior citizens, giving Olim (immigrants) the skills needed to integrate into Israeli society and to offering a variety of programming for children and families. ReStarTzfat strives to bring the community together through enriching experiences that reach out to all and contribute to the Olim's sense of place. We collaborate with other city's community centers to improve our organizations’ effectiveness and to enhance our value to the community. Every month we provide supplemental food boxes to over 120 families with deliveries for those unable to leave their homes. We hold numerous community activities, such as dance classes and mothers' support groups, on a weekly basis. ReStarTzfat provides free buses and discounted entry tickets for community and family trips all over the country multiple times throughout the year. We pride ourselves in offering employment education and social service presentations on a weekly basis and have successfully coordinated getting the first Ulpan Bet class taught in Tzfat in over 7 years for Olim looking to improve their Hebrew. In addition, we have increased cultural experiences for Olim in Tzfat by creating an annual Art Festival, having a monthly Flash Mob Cleanup of trash in the streets, and by presenting guest speakers and documentaries on numerous occasions throughout the year. ReStarTzfat is able to make a difference in the lives of Olim through generous contributions of donors and critical support from the Israeli government. We look forward to serving our community for many years to come.

Bet Elazraki Children´s Home was established in 1969 to serve 39 children. Today over 250 at-risk children ages 6-18, call Bet Elazraki - home. Our children, most of whom were born to multigenerational welfare families, are referred to our care from throughout Israel, by welfare officials. Educational and counseling staff live on campus with the children. A diverse staff of professionals that live on and off campus, accompany our children throughout the day, every day. Our unique home embraces and nurtures children lovingly while implementing a structured, professional work-model. Our constant daily work is conducted to redirect children and break the cycle of despair. For children brought to our doors, Bet Elazraki is a home for life. We are not a short term crises facility - we are their home. We are committed like family, always. Join us to ensure our life changing care continues – Please help us "be there for them”.
