Hillside Baptist Church
God moved the hearts of the people from 3 smaller churches (Hildegarde, Lutes Mountain & Gorge) to amalgamate in 1974. What is our vision? Strategically situated in a booming area in Northwest Moncton with lots of children, teens, singles, and families, Hillside’s vision is to be a lighthouse church (culturally relevant yet biblically-based) with a premiere family ministry in the region. This means strategically building relationships and investing in the next generation, partnering with children and teens and their parents, and endeavoring to be a safe place for people from all walks of life and religious backgrounds (or no religious background at all!) to begin and then continue in a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. Regarding other churches, our desire is not to be a church that seeks to compete with the many other churches already established in the area. We’d rather bless and encourage them! Instead, we would put our efforts into reaching those who are not already attending church perhaps because they see the church as boring, irrelevant, hurtful in their past, or they feel unworthy and unlovable for one reason or another. When did Hillside open it’s doors? When did Hillside open it’s doors? In February 1974 under the leadership of its founding pastor Phil Stairs. The members of the three founding churches came together believing that God was calling them to do a great work for Him as a regional church in Atlantic Canada. Since that day Hillside has never looked back! Through continued growth right up to the present when they completed “Open Doors” – the name given to their latest expansion project which was completed in 2011. This project has enabled the church to open its doors even wider to more people and especially parents with children through the addition of a preschool wing, youth café and numerous related improvements.

Hope Bible Church
Hope Bible Church Oakville began early 2003. God placed a calling and a dream within a small group of people to see a Harvest Bible Chapel come to the Greater Toronto Area. Through supernatural circumstances, a core group of people was formed and the momentum was building. It wasn’t long before ideas were being articulated, prayer meetings were being scheduled and plans were underway for the launch of the second Canadian Harvest Bible Chapel. A Bible study began in the summer of 2003 in response to the demand from people who were passionate about this church plant. The first Bible study met in a local office space. When those quarters became too tight, the Bible study was moved to a church basement in Mississauga. By the grace of God, this core group continued to grow and develop and attract high-quality disciples of Christ. It was in the early fall of 2003 that God clearly led the leadership from Harvest Oakville to be connected with the leadership from Calvary Baptist Church in Oakville. In what can only be described as miraculous, God arranged for Calvary Baptist Church to become Harvest Bible Chapel Oakville which included giving Harvest their church building, property and most importantly their people. This was an incredible process that presented many challenges. However, we believe this kind of unprecedented event in our area is a sign of what God is up to and what He will do to accomplish His will in building His Church! In 2018 Harvest Bible Chapel officially joined the family of like-minded churches affiliated with the Great Commission Collective. Their desire for planting churches, for connection and relationship in the gospel, and for world-wide evangelism really struck a chord with our leadership team as something our church family should be part of. As of Easter 2019, we are officially Hope Bible Church Oakville, and we are excited to see what the Lord has in store.

Village Church Canada
We exist to see people transformed into fully devoted followers of Jesus. We live that purpose out by prioritizing three things: gospel, community, and culture. Gospel The gospel offers hope and meaning to our lives. It's about the fact that God loves us so much that he sent his son Jesus to die for our sins and rise from death to transform us. This means our hope is not in what we do for God, but what God, through Christ, has done for us. At Village Church, the gospel informs everything about who we are and what we do. We want to live authentically as imperfect people who have been redeemed by and found purpose in Jesus. Community God builds communities of faith by uniting the people he saves and motivating them to love each other and share the gospel. In a world that can be isolating and fragmented, this makes the church a breath of fresh air. It unites people regardless of their gender, age, ethnicity, class, or history. So wherever you're at in life, there's a place for you in Village Church. Culture Rather than separate ourselves from the world, we want to be a positive influence in it. Whatever we do as a church, we strive for excellence and want to engage with every level of our culture to see it transformed by Jesus. We want to represent the truths of Christianity to the world in insightful, creative, and gracious ways.

As Companions of the Cross we root ourselves in: LOVE FOR CHRIST CRUCIFIED, A SPIRITUALITY OF GOD’S POWER AND WISDOM Jesus’s death on the Cross and Resurrection saved the world. Therefore, we fully commit ourselves to him; seek his will in all we do; and trust in his power to do it. LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER, A LIFE OF TRUE BROTHERHOOD We base ourselves on the model of Jesus and his disciples, who lived together, ministered together, and supported one another. Five Stones Church
We are all about Jesus and the message of the Gospel. The gospel is about Jesus and Jesus is about the gospel. The gospel is the power of God for salvation (Rom. 1:16) as well as God’s power to transform us into the image of Jesus (2 Peter 1:3-4). This means our new life as a Christian not only starts with the Gospel, but it also grows & mature through the Gospel. The gospel initiates & sustains us from beginning to end. This is crucial to understand. Many think the gospel is just involved in “getting people saved,” but the gospel is much bigger than that. It’s rescues us, then goes on to perfect us. Hence, we believe the gospel is the most transforming power on planet earth. Jesus went to the cross for it, and we’re giving our lives away because of it. We want to see God at work globally and locally. We have a passion to impact the world through Vancouver and in Vancouver. This is what the Great Commission is about (Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). In the end, our mission is to introduce people to the God of salvation by teaching, preaching and demonstrating His love through His empowering grace. Towards this end, God calls us to be innovative and creative in reaching our generation.
