The Passion For Research Hub
With about 17.51% of the World’s 7.83 Billion Population (Szmigier, 2021), Africa generates less than 1% of the world’s research output (Duermeijer et al, 2018), This is most likely due to her spending on research, not more than 1% it’s entire GDP (Kigotho, 2021), signifying below the capacity performance of its populations, validating the anecdotal common saying, the best way to hide something from a black-Man is to put in a book. It’s a fact, many Nigerian tertiary institutions don’t have an archiving platform for their undergraduate’s research works, reflecting a lack of value for students' intellectual property. Africa has poor research culture, and this is because of her poor emphasis on research and which has continued to further her backwardness in societal evolutionary trajectory. It’s in this great burden of heart, that we present to you 'The Passion For Research Hub’, the first of her kind Non-Governmental organisation in Africa, to champion the instilling of research consciousness, in the minds of the Sons and Daughters of Africa.
