Mechanic (Can Setter) January 2016-May 2024 Dole Packaged Foods Job description: •Assigned at Assembly Line, Can Manufacturing Plant Department. •Maintains/repairs/troubleshoots Double Seamers (60L, 50P, 61H), Spin Flanger/Beader Machines (SBV 400 & 600), Corima Vacuum Testers and Borden Testers, Conveyors, etc. •Performing pre-operational check ups, audits and lubrication on machines. •Preparing/assembling ready-to-use spare parts to reduce downtime when servicing machines. •Making sure that the cans are inside the parameters by checking from time to time (manually, using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) while the operation is ongoing. •Scheduled Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM), Changing machine set-up (e.g. plain covers to easy-open covers; can sizes) are also included in the tasks. •Having a sense of urgency whenever a problem occurs during operations. •Addressing any unsafe acts and/or conditions that could potentially harm the workers and/or the machines. Machine Operator (Steel drum) April 2013-December 2015 Dole Packaged Foods Job description: •Assigned at Drum Line, Can Manufacturing Plant Department. •Operates Press Machine (drum bottom and cover), Rounding Machine, Welder Machine, Flanger/Beader Machine, Seamer Machine, Manual Paint booth, Compounding Machine rotationally. •Performing pre-operational and post-operational tasks such as checking and cleaning machines, checking for obstructions that may cause injuries, cleaning the floor, etc. •Making sure that the products are in good quality (visual inspection). •Addressing any unsafe acts and/or conditions that could potentially harm the workers and/or the machines.
