A creative passionate about design, branding, creative direction, retail and hospitality.For most of my professional life I have worked on building brands from scratch.I love community building and work hard towards bringing ideas to life.In 2011 I launched 'Marina London'- a silk only womenswear brand.The mission was to make silk more affordable, wearable & less intimidating. We had thousands of customers, many were incredibly loyal with a genuine love for the brand.Born out of a desire to place the silks in a physical retail environment and the freakily convenient birth of "the pop-up store" concept in 2014, the idea of 'The Basics Store' was born.I found a tiny hole-in-the-wall 300sqft space on Redchurch Street, Shoreditch which I rented out with seven other designers, the products ranged from perfumes, shoes, bags and jewellery. It was the first multi-brand pop up store of its kind in London, that would run for four weeks. Before this period landlords would be reluctant to rent out their store for less than the usual five year lease period, but things were changing. It was a case of being in the right place at the right time and taking advantage of it.Over the next four years I launched five other locations growing the selection every time. The locations varied from a bigger space on Redchurch Street to Old Street, Ledbury Road in Notting Hill and finally, the most successful in 2018 on Monmouth Street in Covent Garden, which housed 50 designers over a period of eight weeks and turned over £125k worth of sales.I ran 'Marina London' and all operations of 'The Basics Store' in parallel myself.I work incredibly hard and have strong communication skills.I'm a peacemaker and an ideas person.I have a lot of energy for projects that get the dial moving and aim to do something meaningful and worthwhile within their field.
