After being a cook/chef for over a decade of my life I finally decided to pursue a career in another aspect of life that has always piqued my interest: gaming! Growing up on NES and Atari, I have always been a true gamer. To be where I am today, seeing how things work,finding out ways to break things, and learning from what i consider some of the brightest minds i have ever connected with, is truly an honor and a privilege. I never thought I would be where I am today, working in an industry that has been a major facet of my life. At first it was overwhelming to me, working with people far more experienced than myself, feeling like I didn't belong. Not because my peers made me feel that way, but because I allowed myself to feel that way. Now, after asking questions and listening to input from my work comrades, I know that I do belong. That all I needed was a push in the right direction. By being able to talk to people at work on a human level, and to not be judged by the knowledge I was lacking, has really made me step up my game. Let's be honest.the Gaming Industry is a whole different ball game than cooking. I came into the industry the deepest shade of green you could find.Today, however, I can honestly say that I have put my mark on the projects I have worked on. Being able to communicate with Producers, Artists, and every other title at work has really helped me understand how the dots connect. It took a lot to get where I am, but the effort was worth it!
