Andris G••• is the Vice President Latvia at the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance, an internationally recognized organization shaping the corporate governance agenda across the Baltic region. He is also a lecturer at Riga Stradiņš University and Riga Business School, and serves as a guest lecturer at the University of Latvia. In addition to his academic and professional roles, Andris chairs the Advisory Council on Governance of Enterprises Owned by Riga City and is a member of the Corporate Governance Advisory Council under the Latvian Ministry of Justice. He co-authored Latvia’s Corporate Governance Code (2020) and the binding ownership policy for Riga City-owned enterprises, outlining governance principles and procedures (2020). His previous contributions include participating in the OECD Working Party on State Ownership and Privatization Practices (2011–2014) and co-authoring the Latvian government's concept of reforms on state-owned enterprise governance, as well as the related national legislation adopted in 2014, 2015, 2019, 2021, and 2024. Andris brings a diverse professional background spanning government institutions, nonprofit organizations, and the private sector. He has developed expertise in corporate governance, leadership, team management, strategy development, stakeholder engagement, public speaking, and policy advocacy. In 2022, Andris earned his Executive MBA with distinction from Riga Business School. His master’s thesis focused on embedding ESG principles into company's business models and strategy.
