A researcher in the field of Crop Improvement for the past 10+ years. Have a solid background in plant cell culture acquired from hands-on experience on numerous medicinal plants of India and well-versed in plant cell manipulation methods. This is combined with an extensive experience in plant genetic modification having worked with several cereal crops, most specifically with rice and maize. Expertise in plant transformation techniques and stress biology of crops along with molecular analyses tools. Currently, I am working on Brassica DH varieties to set up a replicable transformation pipeline. Apart from Crop and trait improvement projects, I am also interested in working on research questions with a more inclusive approach towards the reproductive biology of plants and employing molecular tools to answer them.
