Ayey M••• is a seasoned Research Consultant specializing in health and environmental impact assessment, gender mainstreaming, and project evaluations. With over 12 years of experience in Public Health, research, data analytics, SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights), and SGBV (Sexual and Gender-Based Violence), Ayey brings her wealth of expertise to various spaces. She actively engages in gender-sensitive project implementation and works towards improving food security and livelihoods. As a Research Consultant, Ayey plays a crucial role in conducting and advocating for rigorous health and environmental impact assessments. Her commitment extends to leveraging the findings of EIAs to drive sustainable practices and promote ecological well-being. She actively collaborates with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities, to ensure comprehensive involvement in the EIA process. By fostering partnerships with environmental organizations, she aims to amplify the impact of EIAs on policy decisions and conservation efforts. In addition to her role as a Research Consultant, Ayey serves as the Executive Director for The Chagai Foundation, a women-led organization in South Sudan. In this leadership position, she continues to advance gender equality while overseeing organizational initiatives. Ayey strategically integrates the outcomes of EIAs into the foundation's projects, emphasizing the importance of environmental considerations in community development. Ayey earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Sciences in 2009 and later obtained a Master’s in Public Health in 2014. Recognized for her advocacy for women in health, nutrition, peace, and security, she actively participates in panels addressing critical issues, such as the Constitution Building Process, SRHR policy approaches, and the clinical management of rape. Ayey serves as a women representative on the CTASMVM board and is a board member for Gender Talk 211, showcasing her multifaceted dedication to positive change, environmental stewardship, and the empowerment of women.
