Greetings! I am Sherub D•••, a news editor and anchor with extensive experience in journalism. Currently, I am a news editor at the Bhutan Broadcasting Service Corporation Ltd.(BBS), where I oversee the editorial process and ensure the delivery of high-quality news content. I have a solid educational foundation in journalism and mass communication, having graduated from Amity University in Noida, UP, India. My academic journey was made possible through the prestigious Nehru-Wangchuck Scholarship, which fully funded my studies. Throughout my career, I have developed a specialisation in development reporting and communication, along with a strong focus on climate change issues. I have been recognized for my outstanding work and have received three consecutive Best TV News Story of the Year awards in 2020, 2021, and 2021. Additionally, I have been honoured with the Annual Journalism Grant in 2020 and The Media Fellowship on Climate Change Reporting in the Himalayan Region in the same year. As a versatile professional, I am also skilled in hosting and anchoring TV programmes, where I engage viewers with captivating content. Prior to my current role at the BBS, I gained valuable experience as an international billing coordinator for a Canadian multinational firm. Furthermore, I actively contribute to civil society initiatives, focusing on media literacy, community engagement, and resource mobilization through my involvement with the Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy. I am known for my dedication, goal orientation, and ability to adapt swiftly to new challenges. With a passion for delivering accurate and impactful news, I strive to uphold the highest standards of journalism.
