Assistant Conservator at Hong Kong Palace Museum

About

On the record

Inspired by Macao's enriched heritage ambiance, Christina has developed a strong interest in heritage conservation ever since she was young. She has a strong passion for, and determination to contribute to, the safeguarding of the valuable cultural property. Christina has pursued a Master in Cultural Materials Conservation at the University of Melbourne following her bachelor’s degree in architectural conservation at the University of Hong Kong. Christina actively participates in the building and museum conservation context. She promotes Macao’s cultural heritage as a Macao Heritage Ambassador and dedicates herself to the advocacy of conservation and the enrichment of student experience as a committee member of Student Conservators at Melbourne (SC@M). She has previously volunteered at the University of Melbourne Archive, the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) and Melbourne Museum. Christina is specializing in object conservation and she is most interested in working with inorganic materials, painted surface and sculpture, which she could potentially explore both the museum and building conservation context. Christina hopes to unleash her full potential in the heritage industry and move one step forward to becoming a heritage “doctor”.
