With nearly 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I have developed a diverse skill set that spans across food and beverage, money management, customer service, budget control, marketing, and achieving yearly objectives. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various roles, continually honing my ability to deliver exceptional service and meet business targets. In 2020, I decided to take a step back from the fast-paced world of hospitality to explore a new career direction. I joined Aurora Foxes as a support worker for young people with disabilities, an experience that gave me a fresh perspective and shaped the trajectory of my career. During this time, I gained my Level 4 qualification in Education and training, got my personal alcohol license and transitioned to a Front of House Tutor, where I was able to combine my hospitality expertise with my newfound passion for supporting and mentoring students. As a tutor, I worked with students preparing for NVQs in hospitality and catering, helping them develop the skills they need to become work-ready and life-ready. This role reinforced my belief in the power of education and mentorship, and further solidified my desire to help others grow and succeed. Now, as the Deputy Hotel Manager at Foxes Hotel, I oversee the day-to-day operations and support the program lead, head chef, and hotel manager. My focus is on ensuring the smooth running of the hotel, providing ongoing support to the team, and creating an environment where both students and staff have the tools and resources they need to thrive. Whether it’s assisting with training, managing the hotel’s public-facing services, or supporting students in their learning, I am committed to encourage an atmosphere of collaboration, learning, and growth. I am passionate about combining my hospitality background with my dedication to education, and I am always excited about opportunities to mentor and empower others in their professional journeys.
