I obtained PhD in Environmental and Rural Sciences (Climate change, crop water use efficiency, Soil water balance, irrigation agronomy) from the University of New England, Australia) I did industry-linked research and thoroughly investigated the response of carbon dioxide emission (future and current) and deficit irrigation for soil water extraction and water use efficiency and grain yield of Australian Durum wheat Varieties. Previously, I had an MSc degree in Soil and water Engineering from Haramaya University (Ethiopia). I served the Ethiopia Institute of Agricultural Research in different capacities, leading a department to coordinate national research programs, for the research components including agricultural water management (Improving crop water use efficiency of various crops), soil water management, and climate and weather variability research. I have had the opportunity to work with and get trained by people from different parts of the world, USA, EUROPE, Australia, and Africa, in the areas of my expertise. I am currently working for ICT International as an Agri-Environmental Scientist (Environment and Soil-plant-water relations). ICT International is a reputable modern irrigation, agricultural, and Environmental technology and solutions provider in the world. It manufactures Iot enabled soils, plant, water sensors, and Environmental Monitoring Systems Where I am involved in advising customers on instrument choice for research and operations in environment, soil, plant, water, and environment and natural resources management. Furthermore, I help customers with data analysis for meaningful interpretation of data collected from modern sensors. I also work on the wiring and programming of modern sensors and scientific devices for soil, plant, and water parameters.
