About

On the record

Hello! I am Ina, I grew up in sunny Manila, Philippines and I have just finished my Bachelor’s Degree in not-so-sunny Manchester, England. I have a love for Marketing and Graphic Design, and a mind for Business. I understand how these disciplines are interconnected to create customer value, customer experience, and revenue. I like to focus on the 'why' as opposed to the 'what', which I use as my foundation when working on branding projects because I understand that audiences buy experience and value trust over a simple product. I am a proactive self-starter which was proven over the pandemic, where I made wise use of my time by taking up multiple Graphic Design and Branding projects for local businesses, some of them my own personal projects, both to gain practical experience and to enjoy passing time. While not on purpose, I learned that I am quite customer centric and have a knack for genuinely connecting to their pain-points and needs, allowing myself to gain likability and trust through the output I produce, from start to finish. I have always been interested in branding and art, so I've taken it upon myself to independently teach myself Adobe Illustrator, a software that continues to humble me everyday. It's an accomplishment I am proud of because it enhances my already existing skillset of marketing and branding, and how it has opened a plethora of opportunities for me, some of them being cover art for a local Filipino artist signed with Sony Music Philippines, another being able to make my own collaterals for the small businesses I opened up during COVID-19 (I’ve got an archive of these— there’s a link to my portfolio on my profile! Most importantly, though, while I do face a few art blocks here and there, rarely does this feel like a chore- but more of an ongoing project that is my life. Some things about me :) I have an insurmountable level of goals I want to achieve, so many people I can't help but care for, and many things I'd like to be. And as one normally does, I get a bit overwhelmed. In an attempt to keep myself on the ground, I've developed a few hobbies that help me decompress my thoughts and allow me touch grass every so often. These hobbies include (but definitely are not limited to): 1. Building Legos (this is new) 2. Reading books (A Little Life most recently, Four Thousand Weeks currently) 3. Cooking meals reminiscent of warm hugs 4. Getting lost in museums, finding peace in nature 5. Stoking it up via surf sessions
