About
On the record
My career is a fusion of data annotation and analytics, women empowerment, and artificial intelligence. With an educational background in public health and an early career in public health research and non-profit, I pivoted to tech in 2018 and in 2019 started a career in the AI field. As an AI enthusiast, I have used AI for my work and business, taught non-technical people how to use AI for their work and business, and also trained African women how to leverage AI tools for their work and personal productivity. I have also built a couple of GPTs that have helped me personally and have been used by others. I am also skilled in the advanced use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. As an AI integration advisor, I have helped professionals and small businesses see areas of their work where they can use AI to 10x their efficiency. I have also had experience in data management and analytics, where I used Microsoft Excel to clean, validate, and create pivot tables, charts, and dashboards. I am also proficient in using PostgreSQL for data manipulation and Tableau for data reporting. My career in AI started with working with AI companies to train their machine learning models through data annotation, where I gained experience in NLP data annotation and categorization, which are essential for training machine learning models; with LLM data annotations, prompt labeling, RLHF ratings, and ranking, which are essential for fine-tuning and retraining large language models. I am skilled in using annotation tools like Prodigy, Doccano, and Labelbox, VGG, Roboflow, and more With six years of experience, I've excelled as a data annotator and annotation manager. I significantly contributed to many ML data annotation projects on and off the Upwork platform, supporting different AI companies to build their AI products while also training and mentoring other data annotators, and some of them have now become annotation managers as well and started their companies. My leadership skills were honed by managing data annotation team leads, annotation teams of up to 50 members, and guiding projects to success with precision rates exceeding 98%. This role expanded to include client communication, project management, and operations management, ensuring client expectations were not only met but exceeded. My passion for women's economic empowerment and digital inclusion propelled me to lead digital trainings for over 200 African women on data annotation, Upwork platform, virtual assistance, getting online work, and many more.
