About

On the record

I’m excited to start a journey on UX with the fundamental skills I’ve got on an intensive bootcamp with General Assembly. They include: • Empathy and Affinity maps • User personas • Journey map • "How Might We" statements • Prioritization method (moscow) • Concept sketching • Wireframing/wireflows • Design principles (C.R.A.P) • Prototyping on Figma What’s next? I hope I get the chance to learn and improve on: • Interaction design • Visual communication • Microcopy • Information architecture • Typography • Interviewing • Story-telling • User research and analysis • User testing I’m curious and love learning about new things or problem solving regardless whether it's work or play. I always strive to improve my workflow, learning new tricks or collaborating with others on how I could do something better. On the personal front, I like listening to people on their take on the world around us and maybe I could learn something new! This kind of goes together with me being observant and meticulous. I pick up on the things I could improve and it drives me to seek ways of solving them. No matter how small the detail is, I catch it. The critical thinking in me also kicks in and starts questioning myself if this is the best approach or could I do better. I’ve always had a preference for things that gave me the best user experience, how enjoyable and easy it was to use something has always steered me towards it. The significance of it came as a revelation when elders around me asked for help with anything digital. It sparked an interest in me, could I make the experience better for them? Please, do drop me a message if you have any opportunities. Here's an excerpt that is very meaningful to me from a book called It's Not Rocket Science by Mary Spio:"The journey to greatness starts with looking inside ourselves. I define greatness as the intersection of passion, purpose and potential. It is that place where you are radically passionate about what you're doing, you are naturally gifted to do that thing, and you are using that passion and those gifts to solve problems and serve others. Living in the centre of your point of greatness allows your best and highest possible contribution to our world"
