I thrive on driving ScribeWire Inc. forward — adapting the company (formerly Closed Caption Services) to today’s digital landscape while shaping the future of media accessibility. What began as a family business, one of Canada's longest-running broadcast captioning services for the D/deaf and hard of hearing community has grown into a full-spectrum digital accessibility provider, delivering captioning, CART, described video, subtitling, ASL interpretation, and website accessibility for broadcasters, governments, educational institutions, and global organizations. Today, I am leading ScribeWire through its next evolution: transforming from a service-based company into a technology-driven accessibility platform. We are building scalable systems that combine state of the art technology, including AI-powered innovation with human expertise, ensuring accuracy, exemplary customer service, cultural respect, and trust at global scale. As an Anishinaabe entrepreneur, I am committed to fostering inclusive solutions and ensuring Indigenous and rare languages are part of the digital future. I see ScribeWire not only as a provider of accessibility services, but also as a partner for Indigenous innovators — offering a secure environment where language projects can be preserved, managed, and shared through technology. Beyond my work in accessibility, I am a passionate musician and advocate for the arts, performing with a variety of ensembles. Music has profoundly shaped my approach to business — teaching discipline, collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement. I believe that technology, media, and the arts should be inclusive, accessible, and reflective of the rich cultural voices they serve.
