About
On the record
I am a postdoctoral researcher at Universität Innsbruck studying quantum control of molecules. I am working on identifying, analyzing, and demonstrating efficient implementations of quantum error correction using external degrees of freedom of single molecular ions confined in a linear Paul trap. The molecular transititions are driven using stimulated Raman frequency comb spectroscopy and quantum logic spectroscopy for readout. This research fits within the broader field of trapped ion quantum computing. I received my physics PhD from the University of Texas at Austin where I studied nonlinear optics of bulk and nanocrystalline semiconductors using ultrafast lasers. Dissertation:"Nonlinear Absorption Spectroscopy of Bulk Semiconductors and Quantum Dots"
