Marine Biologist passionate about education and conservation. Completed my four year Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology degree from Plymouth University in June 2023 following which I moved to North Iceland to work as a Naturalist for Whale Watching Akureyri. I have since accepted a position to join the Education team at Bermuda Institute of Ocean Science in October 2023. Completed a placement year at the National Marine Aquarium, Sea Watch Foundation and with the University of Plymouth’s Marine Vertebrate Research Group. During my second year of my University Degree: School of Biological & Marine Sciences Representative 2020/2021. Chair of the Marine Biology Society 2020/2021 Secretary of the Stand Up Paddle Boarding Society 2020/2021. Peers Assisted Learning Scheme Leader (PALS) at Plymouth University 2020/2021. Nominated for School Representative of the Year Award 2021. I am an enthusiastic and hard working individual who is passionate about pursuing a career in Marine Conservation. I spent my placement year gaining a broad range of experience to help me develop my skill set and find further opportunities in the industry. During my time in Plymouth I was working for Snapzilla as an event photographer, Salumi Bar and Eatery as a waitress and Link Communications as a brand ambassador.
