An educator who has been teaching mathematics for over 11 years, grades 6th through 12. Over two years of experience teaching Theory of Knowledge (TOK). A dual Masters’ Degrees in Mathematical Education and Philosophy. Currently working towards a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Teaching certifications from both California, USA, and Nova Scotia, Canada. Learner-centered teacher using Social Constructivism theory to frame teaching methodology. Place social, emotional, mental, and physical needs of the students first to create a learning environment where everyone feels welcome to try and express their thoughts. Always seeking to improve through innovation with the mantra that if a student does everything asked of them and fails, then I have failed.
