Director Human Resources - Crown Dependencies at Santander International
About
On the record
I see human resources as a critical part of any organisations ability to deliver its key purpose, by ensuring that talented individuals are given the opportunity to thrive in their careers and reach their full potential. I am an innovative individual and I enjoy devising solutions and strategies for positive change and improve culture within organisations to drive success. Throughout my extensive career I have helped build start-up firms, managed change through mergers and closures. I have an agile mind which takes well to strategic matters, however I also enjoy working at an operational level and getting my hands dirty. I enjoy working across organisations within generalist roles where I can positively shape the culture and performance of an organisation. I have acquired experience within facilities and support services management together with human resources. Currently, I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (“CIPD”), a Chartered Director of the Institute of Directors (C.Dir) and an accredited Mediator with over 30 years of human resources experience. I served as Chair of the CIPD, Jersey Branch, for 8 years and my other voluntary positions include sitting on the Social Security Advisory Council, serving as a member of the human resources Sub-Committee, Chamber of Commerce. My outside interests include singing as a member of the Holy Trinity Parish Church Choir and golf.
