About
On the record
As a Professor of English, I have worked at the university level, teaching courses from freshman/core curriculum to upper level and graduate courses. I have advised English majors, English education majors, English minors, and non-majors. I have a great deal of experience with creating study abroad programs in South Korea and the UK, as well as teaching non-native speakers in the US and the ROK. My duties also included many years of committee work as member and/or chair on university, college, and department levels. I have managed people and a small budget; I am very adept at working with units across the campus and in the community; I am skilled at presenting to academic, non-academic, and administrative audiences. My experiences include Curriculum Development and mentoring faculty and students in higher education. The common thread through all my career experiences is the goal to support students' academic growth regardless of socioeconomic circumstances or personal beliefs. I am an active researcher and Fulbright alumna.
