All my career is related to analytical instrumentation, in particular electron-ion microscopes, and its application for science and industry. I graduated from St-Petersburg ITMO University, where he got my bachelor and master degrees. Then I went to the UK to University of Southampton for a PhD study. I was awarded a PhD degree in 2009, the title of my thesis was “Cathodoluminescence and phase-change functionality of metallic nanoparticles”. After that I moved back to Russia where I worked in St-Petersburg ITMO University as lecturer and researcher from 2009 till 2014. In 2014 I moved to Czech Republic where I got a position of an application engineer in TESCAN, a global supplier of scientific instruments. Since 2016 I became the Head of Semiconductor Applications in TESCAN.
